ASSESSOR TO ISSUE ALL COUNTY BIRTH CERTIFICATES
Change Designed to Save Money, Increase Efficiency
Need a copy of a birth certificate?
Starting August 1, theyll be available exclusively at the County
Assessor/Recorder/Clerks Office. Until now, the certificates also
were available at the County Health Department office on Rosecrans as
well as the Assessor/Recorder/Clerks offices. The consolidation
is being made to save taxpayer dollars and provide better public service.
"All birth certificates will now be available at our various offices
conveniently located throughout the County," said Gregory J. Smith,
San Diego County Assessor/Recorder/Clerk. "My goal is to make it
easier and more convenient for the public."
Copies of birth certificates are available for $15 by mail or in person
at the following five offices of the Assessor/Recorder/Clerk:
