 NEW LOCATION OF ASSESSOR’S EL CAJON BRANCH OFFICE

Supervisor Dianne Jacob and County Assessor/Recorder/Clerk, Gregory J. Smith, announced today that on December 14, the El Cajon branch office will relocate from the current site on the sixth floor of El Cajon’s Civic Center to the Lucky Shopping Center at the corner of Magnolia and Main. This move into a larger, more accessible ground floor facility will provide better service to East County residents and allow for future growth and expansion.

"The County is continually looking for ways to improve services to its citizens and the Assessor has always been an active leader in this endeavor", stated Dianne Jacob. "The new El Cajon site will be appreciated by East County residents, since it provides plentiful parking at a convenient ground floor, and will continue to eliminate any long and time consuming trips to San Diego.

County Assessor Gregory Smith agrees, "My priority has always been customer service. My goal is to serve the public in a fast, efficient and professional manner." Smith went on to say, "This is a full functioning branch office offering both Assessor and Clerk services," such as:

• birth and marriage certificates

• marriage licenses and ceremonies

• fictitious business names

• assessor information and maps
